Bihar State Pollution Control Council has banned bursting of crackers of any kind on Diwali this year in four cities of the state. Due to the increasing pollution in the environment, the board has banned the burning of crackers in the cities of Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur. In this regard, a letter has been sent to the DMs of all the districts and they have been directed to strictly prohibit the sale or bursting of any kind of firecrackers in their respective districts.

Diwali will be celebrated without crackers

Normally, firecrackers have been banned in these cities of Bihar, but burning of green firecrackers will be allowed. Green crackers are not available in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur even after the order of the State Pollution Control Board. In such a situation, now it seems that this time people’s Diwali will be celebrated without firecrackers.

Ban on burning of crackers

An analyst of the Bihar State Pollution Control Board says that due to the burning of crackers, there is air pollution as well as noise pollution. In cities where crackers have been banned, the amount of pollution has reached more dangerous levels than before. For these reasons, a ban has been imposed on the sale and burning of crackers. So that increasing pollution can be curbed.
